Purpose-built Police car

Why has nobody ever produced a purpose-built car solely for the police? It’s entirely logical and obvious, but none have. Until now that is.
Meat Carbon Motors’ E7. Over 1700 law-enforcement professionals provided input into what they wanted from the perfect Cop Car, and Carbon Motors paid close attention.
The car includes night vision cameras, radiation-detecting air ducts, voice control, backseat video and audio surveillance, and an automatic licence plate recognition system. The officer behind the wheel is also able to control everything that happens in the car through a 15-inch touch screen monitor.
It’s also equipped with technological and design elements including an ergonomically correct cockpit inspired by jet fighters and helicopters, a high powered clean-diesel engine capable of running on biodiesel, radar, LoJack, biological threat detectors and 360 degree, highly visible built-in LED emergency lighting – blues and twos if you will.
And will it be quick enough to catch the bad guys with that diesel motor? Well it accelerates at a decent pace, hitting 100kph in 6.5 seconds thanks to the 300bhp 3.0-litre Turbo Diesel and six-speed auto. But top speed is limited to 250kph.
Of course by the time the car is launched in 2012, and they have 10,000 pre-orders already, any GCC police forces wanting to upgrade their fleet with these beasties could obviously specify more meatier petrol engines.
Can you imagine The Blues Brothers in one of these?
Would you soil your seats if you saw this looming large in your rear-view mirror? Let us know below.
