BMW X1 teaser shots

This would be the most revealing picture yet of BMW’s new X1, showing it essentially undisguised, if it weren’t for the fact that it’s blurred and anyway, you’re far too busy looking at the model in the foreground to look at the car.
This blurry white X1 image is an official BMW picture, released on the company's Facebook site, along with a few teaser details photos revealed earlier this month. BMW has also released images of disguised versions being tested, along with a video.
BMW’s new baby is a sub-X3 SUV revealed in concept form at Paris last year. Read about X1 Concept here.
Like the 1-series, the X1 uses 3-series architecture, but the X1 designation means it will actually end up shorter than a Three saloon, but taller than a Touring, plus it's lighter too. Both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive versions are expected to be available, while at launch the X1 will come with 268bhp 3.0-litre petrol.
The X1 won't be officially unveiled until the Frankfurt motor show in September 2009.

25 June 2009 Down sized version of X3, the same kidney grills and the same interior trims. Getting bored with X's. Reply |
