2011 Mercedes CLS spotted in Abu Dhabi

Saurabh Lodha snapped these heavily disguised cars on the main road into Abu Dhabi about 20km before Musaffa exit. 'Though the logo was masked, the cars looked too much like a Mercedes, with a big circle on the grill,' Lodha told us.

We reckon these are the 2011 Mercedes CLS models undergoing hot weather testing. The CLS has actually been seen testing elsewhere in the world in this disguise already. What little you can ascertain from these images is that the new car will be a subtle evolution of the current CLS - which is no bad thing.

Summer in the Middle East sees a lot of manufacturers bring their current and future products to our region to put their cars through the uniquely harsh conditions here - a combination of extreme heat, high humidity and gritty sand.
